CHIEF

The name CHIEF is a reflection of Colonel “Doc” Hinman’s personal history and was selected by his staff as a way to honor the man behind the land and the vision. From his military service and connection to the Army’s 2nd Infantry “Indianhead” Division to his career in medicine, agriculture, business, and community service, Doc’s life has been defined by service, responsibility, and stewardship. CHIEF carries that legacy forward while honoring the past and the place that started it all, Indianhead Exploration and Biomass, giving the 1,800-acre vision an identity of its own: one focused on conserving land, maintaining productive working landscapes, creating jobs and economic opportunity, supporting essential community needs, and thoughtfully planning for the future. It is both a tribute to Colonel Hinman and a statement of purpose: to leave the land, and the community it serves, stronger for the next generation by planning for Future Utility and Conservation.
